We are located over at Plot No. H-1-44 in the RIICO Industrial Area of Mansarovar. It is a busy part of Jaipur where a lot of manufacturing happens every single day. Our morning starts early here when the main gates open and the workers arrive. We deal with ethnic wear and different types of fabrics. The machines make a lot of noise throughout the day, but you get used to that after a while. It’s a practical workspace, not one of those fancy offices you see in magazines. We have piles of cloth and thread everywhere. Sometimes the dust from the industrial area gets inside, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up. My family has been in this trade for a long time. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to make sure the clothes we send out are put together right. Most of the people working here have been with us for years. We eat lunch together and talk about the heat or the latest news from the neighborhood. Mansarovar is a good place for a business like ours because everything we need is nearby. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the work. Some days are better than others, especially when a big order is finally finished and loaded onto the truck. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the needles and shears.
