Rouge Mens Parlour

Rouge Mens Parlour is at D-135 in Shyamnagar, in that Sodala area near Janpath. It’s a place for guys who just want a haircut without any of the extra nonsense you get in those big fancy malls. We have the usual smells like talcum powder and aftershave. The chairs are old but they still work fine and they're comfortable enough for a twenty-minute sit. Janpath is a loud road, so you always hear the traffic outside. We don't spend money on decorating the place; we’d rather just have sharp scissors and razors that don't pull. Most of the people who come in are from around Shyamnagar and stop by on their way home. We talk about the cricket scores or whatever is in the news. It’s a small shop, so it gets crowded when a few people are waiting, but everyone just leans against the wall or sits on the bench. We have a wall clock that makes a loud clicking sound when the shop gets quiet. We’ve been at D-135 for a long time, and we know exactly where the sun hits the shop in the afternoon. It’s just a regular men’s parlour where we do what we’ve always done. We don't have uniforms or a fancy menu, just hair and beard work for the locals who know us. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if there’s a line of people waiting for a shave.
