Riya Exports is basically run out of House No.-8 in Sector-3, Malviya Nagar. It’s a residential area, so it feels more like a home than a big corporate building. We’ve been working from here for quite some time. The living room is mostly full of samples and packing boxes. If you walked in, you’d probably trip over a stack of bubble wrap or some tape. We handle various goods for export, mostly coordinating between local makers and people overseas who want what we have. It’s a lot of coordinating and timing. My phone never really stops buzzing with messages about shipping dates or customs forms. Sometimes we stay late into the night because of the time differences with other countries we deal with. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We don't have a big sign outside or anything fancy. Most people in the neighborhood just know us as the folks who are always loading boxes into small vans in the driveway. The work is steady, though it gets a bit hectic when a big shipment is due. We try to keep things organized, but in a small space like this, things get messy fast. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure they leave Malviya Nagar on time. It’s a simple setup, but it keeps us busy and we like the independence of working for ourselves in our own space.
