Ritu Electric & Gift Place

If you find yourself over on Rajat Path 61/16 in Mansarovar, you will likely see our shop, Ritu Electric & Gift Place. We ended up combining two different types of things because that's what people around here seemed to need. On one side we have the electrical supplies like bulbs and wires, and on the other, we keep various gift items for birthdays or small parties. It makes for a bit of an interesting mix on the shelves. The shop is a bit small, so things are stacked pretty high sometimes. We spend our mornings checking inventory and the evenings are usually spent helping people pick out a present or find the right fuse. It is a busy little corner. We aren't a big chain store, just a local spot run by people who live right nearby. Sometimes we run out of certain items and have to tell customers to come back in a few days when the new stock arrives. It’s just us here, no big staff or anything like that. We handle the cleaning, the sales, and the ordering ourselves. It's a lot of work but it keeps us going. We like the rhythm of the neighborhood and seeing the same faces every week. It is nice to be part of the community and know who is getting married or who just bought a new house. We don't have a big corporate plan, we just take it one day at a time and try to keep the shelves stocked with what folks need.
