At Rishi Crafts, we work out of 69 Moji Colony in Malviya Nagar. It’s more of a residential neighborhood, so it stays fairly quiet compared to the main markets. We have a small space here where we handle all our craft work. There are usually pieces of wood, fabric, and tools spread out over the workbenches. It’s a bit messy, but that is how we work best. We aren't the type of people who like sitting in a sterile office all day. The windows are usually left open to let the air in, and you can hear the kids playing in the street sometimes. We start our day with a cup of tea and a look at what needs to be finished. Most of our work is done by hand, so it takes time and a lot of patience. Sometimes things go wrong and we have to start over, which can be frustrating. We’ve been in Moji Colony for a good while and the people around here know us as the folks who are always making something. It’s a simple setup. We don't have any fancy displays or a big showroom. People who want to see what we do just come into the workshop. It’s a bit cramped with all the materials, but we make it work. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay on top of the orders. It’s just us doing what we know. We close the gates when it gets dark.
