Repousse Arts & Crafts

We are over at 722/5 in Indira Bazar. It's on Baba Hareish Chandra Marg, a place that stays pretty busy from morning until the shutters go down at night. Most days here are spent working with metal and tools, just trying to get things right. The shop isn't huge, but it's where we spend all our time. You can hear the hammering from the street if the traffic isn't too loud. There is always a bit of dust on the shelves and the tea guy comes around twice a day which is the highlight for most of us. People walk by looking for all sorts of things in the bazaar, and sometimes they stop in to see what we are making. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint but we never seem to get around to it because there is always some work on the bench. It’s a simple setup. We have our regulars who know exactly where to find us tucked away in this part of the city. We don't do much fancy talking. We just handle the crafts and the orders as they come in. It gets hot in the summer months but the fan keeps things moving. If you are walking down the Marg, you will see the sign. It’s nothing special, just a place where we do our work every single day.
