Rekha Arts & Handicrafts

Rekha Arts & Handicrafts is located at 224 Tonk Road in Vasundhara Colony. We have been here for quite some time now selling different types of local crafts. The shop is full of things like wooden statues and brass items and some paintings. It is a bit of a squeeze to walk through the aisles because we keep bringing in new stuff. Tonk Road is a major road so there is always a lot of traffic and noise outside. We keep the front door open to let some air in but it also lets in a lot of dust from the street. I spend a lot of my morning just wiping down the items so they look decent. We do not have a big staff just a couple of us who take turns watching the shop. We do not have any big sales pitches for people when they walk in. We just let them look around and if they have a question we try to answer it. Most of the things we sell are made by people we have known for a long time. It is a quiet kind of life and we enjoy talking to the neighbors who stop by. Vasundhara Colony has changed a lot since we first opened but our shop stays pretty much the same. We just keep the lights on and wait for people to come in and find something they like for their homes.
