Rashmi Kala Kendra

Rashmi Kala Kendra is tucked away in Adarsh Nagar at number 679. It is a place where things are always being made by hand, so there is usually a bit of a creative mess lying around. You might see some paint spills on the floor or scraps of paper and fabric on the tables. We don’t worry too much about keeping everything perfectly neat because that is not how art works. The light comes in through the front windows in the morning, which is the best time to get started on any new project. People from around Adarsh Nagar drop in to see what we are working on or to pick up supplies they need for their own hobbies. We have been here long enough that we know most of the families in the area. It is not a big corporate store; it is more like a workshop where anyone can feel comfortable walking in. Sometimes we have local kids coming in to learn a few things, and the place gets pretty loud and lively then. We just like being surrounded by colors and materials and having a space where people can be a little bit creative. It is a simple life, and we are happy to be a small part of the community here, just doing what we enjoy in our little corner of the world.
