Ramesh Hair Dresser

Ramesh Hair Dresser is just a small place in Malviya Nagar. We opened here at 3/769 in Sec-3 quite a long time ago. Most people know us because we are right near Shani Mandir. The morning starts with opening the shutters and giving the floor a good sweep. You get a lot of dust in Jaipur, so the mirrors need cleaning every few hours. It is not a very big shop, just enough space for a few chairs and people waiting. We have some regular customers who have been coming since they were kids. Now they bring their own children. It is mostly quiet in the afternoons when the sun is hot, so we sit and talk or listen to the radio. Sometimes the tea from the stall nearby is the highlight of the day. We do not have any fancy lights or music, just the basic things you need for a haircut. The fans keep spinning to stay cool, and we just do our work. People come in, tell us what they want, and we get to it. Sometimes there is a wait, but nobody seems to mind much. We see all kinds of people from around the neighborhood. It is a simple life running a shop like this. We just keep the scissors sharp and make sure everyone leaves feeling a bit lighter. That is how it has always been here.
