Rama Parlour

Rama Parlour is over in Shyam Market in Vaishali Nagar. We are tucked away just behind the Tata Indicom building. It’s been here for quite a while now, I think. Most people who live around here know where to find us. It’s a small shop, nothing too big or flashy. Just some chairs, big mirrors, and the usual stuff you find in a barber shop. We start early in the morning, around the time people are heading out for work. Sometimes it’s just me here, and sometimes my cousin comes in to help when it gets busy. We see all kinds of people, mostly guys from the neighborhood who just want a quick haircut or a clean shave before they go about their day. The shop can get a bit crowded on weekends, but that is how it goes for most places in Jaipur. We try to keep things tidy, though with hair flying around all day, it's a bit of a struggle sometimes. We have an old radio that plays local songs most of the time. It’s just a regular place where you can sit down, have a bit of a chat about the weather or the local news, and get your hair sorted out. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just the basics that people need. It’s a simple life and we like being part of the community here in Vaishali Nagar. I guess we will be here for many more years to come, just cutting hair and talking to the folks who stop by.
