Rama Crafts

Rama Crafts is situated at K/10-B on Durga Das Path. It’s a quieter part of C-Scheme, away from the main road traffic on Malviya Marg. Our workspace is filled with all sorts of bits and pieces—wood carvings, metal scraps, and half-finished projects. There isn’t much of a showroom here, just a place where we put things together and check for flaws. I spend most of my day sitting on a stool at a workbench, often with a cup of cold tea nearby because I forgot to drink it. It’s a small team, mostly just family and a few neighbors who have the right skills. We talk a lot while we work, mostly about the neighborhood news or what's for dinner. The shelves are overflowing with samples from years ago that we never quite got around to throwing away. It’s a bit cramped, and you have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a crate. When the sun hits the window in the afternoon, it gets quite bright, and we have to pull the old curtains shut. We don’t do things in a rush here. We just take our time and finish each piece when it feels right. It’s a steady way to spend the day, and we like the quiet of this particular street. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is next.
