Our office is at 184 Deenanath Ji Ka Rasta, right by Choti Chaupar. If you’ve been to the old city, you know how narrow the lanes are. It’s always crowded with carts, cows, and people. We deal in various goods, mostly trading things back and forth between the markets. The building is old and the stairs are a bit steep. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop by the gaddi. We sit on the floor on white sheets, the old-fashioned way. There is always tea being served to someone. We don't have air conditioning, just some old ceiling fans that hum all day. It gets hot in the summer, but we are used to it. The paperwork is mostly kept in registers. We know every shopkeeper in this lane. It’s a tight community. Sometimes deliveries get stuck in the traffic at Choti Chaupar and we have to wait for hours. That’s just life in this part of Jaipur. We aren't a big corporation. We are just a trading company that has seen the city grow around us. We keep our word and we do our work. 184 is where you will find us if the crowd lets you through. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything. It is just a place of business where we work hard every day. That is the truth of it.
