Rajasthan Crafts Industries

Rajasthan Crafts Industries is located right near Ramgarh Mode on Ajmer Road, and it gets pretty dusty with all the traffic passing by outside. We have been in this spot for a long while now. Inside, there is usually a lot of noise from the tools and people moving materials around. We make a lot of different things, mostly stuff you see around Rajasthan. It’s not organized like a museum; things are stacked up where there’s room. Sometimes we run out of space and have to move things to the back. The floor is usually covered in wood shavings or scrap bits of fabric. It’s a real working space, not a showroom with fancy carpets. When the sun hits the front of the building in the afternoon, it gets quite warm inside. We usually have the fans going full blast then. Most of the people working here have been doing this for years, so we all know the routine. We don’t spend much time on the computer or doing fancy paperwork. Most of the work is done with our hands. It’s a busy road, so there is always someone honking outside. You find us near the turn-off for Ramgarh Mode. It’s a plain building, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but we are always busy with something or other. That’s just the way it is here every day. The air is often thick with the smell of polish and raw wood.
