Raghu Arts & Crafts

Our shop is right on Hawa Mahal Road, which means we see a lot of people every single day. Being so close to the Rung Bihari Temple gives the area a bit of a special feel, even with all the noise from the tourists and the traffic. At Raghu Arts & Crafts, we have all sorts of things tucked away on the shelves. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside sometimes. We spend the mornings dusting off the statues and the fabric items we keep. It’s a lot of work to keep everything looking okay when the road outside is so dusty. Most of the time, we are just talking to people who wander in after seeing the Hawa Mahal. Some are just looking, and others want to take a bit of Jaipur back with them. We don't have those fancy price tags or lights; it's just a regular shop with a lot of stuff. My brother and I usually take turns sitting by the door. The bells from the temple are a nice sound to hear in the evening when things start to cool down a bit. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and we know most of the other shopkeepers on the street. It’s a busy life, but it’s interesting to see people from all over the world stop by our little corner. We just try to keep things going.
