R S Fashoin is located at number 144 in Bapu Bazar. If you know Jaipur, you know that Bapu Bazar is always crowded and full of life. Our shop is right in the heart of that chaos. The walls in this area are all painted that traditional pink color. We have a fairly small shop front, but we pack it with as much as we can. There is hardly any space to move when we get a few people inside at once. We spend our days standing near the entrance or showing different items to people passing by. The fans stay on all day because the bazaar gets very hot in the afternoon. You can hear the sounds of bargaining and traffic all day long. It is a very energetic place to be. We have some lights hanging from the ceiling to make the fabrics look good. The floor is old stone and we sweep it several times a day because of the dust from the street. We have been in Bapu Bazar for a long time and we enjoy the busy atmosphere. Most of our stock is piled up on shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We use a small ladder to reach the things at the top. It’s a very typical Jaipur market shop where we just focus on our daily sales and talking to the travelers.
