Priya Hair Drasser

Priya Hair Drasser is right at the Balesar bus stand in Moti Market. Since we are in Virat Nagar, there’s always a lot of dust and noise from the buses coming and going all day long. It’s a small place, really just enough room for a couple of chairs and the mirrors on the wall. We see a lot of people who are just passing through, waiting for their next ride to Jaipur or somewhere else. We also have the regulars from around Balesar who come in every few weeks for a trim. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we’re always sweeping between customers. It gets really hot in the afternoons here, so we usually have the door wide open to catch any breeze from the road. Sometimes the tea seller from next door brings over a cup while we’re working. We don't do anything fancy, just standard haircuts and shaves for the men around here. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we make it work. It’s a simple life running a shop at a bus stand. You hear all the news from the travelers. We’ve been here in Moti Market for a good bit of time now, and everyone knows where to find us. It’s not a big salon with air conditioning, just a basic spot to get your hair fixed up before you head out on your way. It is what it is, just a small local business.
