Prem Hair Style

Prem Hair Style is located on New Sanganer Road in the Sodala area of Jaipur. It's a busy part of the city, and the road outside is almost never quiet with all the bikes and cars zooming past. We’ve been cutting hair here for quite a while now. The shop is a simple place with a few chairs and mirrors. We don’t have all the bells and whistles of those expensive places downtown, but we know how to use our scissors and clippers to get the job done. Most people around Sodala know where we are. We get a mix of kids, old men, and guys just looking for a quick trim before they head off to work. The floor is usually covered in hair until we get a chance to sweep it between customers. We have a small television in the corner that’s usually on a news channel or a cricket match if India is playing. It gets pretty warm in the summer months, so the ceiling fan is always on its highest setting and it makes a bit of a clicking noise. We don’t take ourselves too seriously here. It’s just a place to get a haircut and maybe hear some local gossip about the neighborhood. We’ve been at this for years, and the routine hasn't changed much. The 302006 area is home for us, and the shop is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It’s honest work and we’re glad to be here on New Sanganer Road.
