Preeti Handicraft

If you know the way through Indira Bazar, you might have passed by us at Preeti Handicraft. We are tucked away in Khajnaewalo Ka Rasta, near Paldi House. It is a very busy part of town and if you aren't looking, you might miss the turn. Being near Krishna Bakery is a bit of a problem because the smell of fresh bread always makes me hungry. We spend most of our time dealing with all the little items we have piled up. There isn’t much space to move around once the new stock arrives. Sometimes it feels like the walls are closing in with all the boxes. We have been in this spot for a good while. The floor is a bit uneven in the back room and we have to be careful not to trip when we are carrying things. It's mostly just us here, making sure things are where they belong. The customers who come in are usually locals or people who have been told where to find us. We don't really do much advertising. The street outside is narrow and sometimes a rickshaw gets stuck, which causes a big loud mess for twenty minutes. We just watch from the door. It’s a simple life. We keep the shop clean enough, though the dust from the bazar always finds its way in. It’s just how things go in this part of the city.
