Prakash Hair Dresser

People have been coming to our shop here in Manoharpur for quite a while now. We are right on the road in Aamliyon Ka Bas, which stays pretty busy most days with people moving back and forth. The shop itself is nothing fancy, just a few chairs and the usual mirrors on the walls. I usually start the morning by cleaning up the floor and getting the towels ready before the first few people show up. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have the fans running to keep things moving. Most of the men who come in are from around here, so we know most of their names and what they like. It is just a regular routine of cutting hair and doing shaves while the traffic goes by outside on Manoharpur Road. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait it out or keep working if there is enough light from the door. We don't really have a big sign or anything, just the name Prakash Hair Dresser on the front so people know it is us. It is a simple life here in Jaipur, just doing the work day after day. You see the same faces every few weeks when they need a trim. We keep the scissors sharp and the combs clean, and that is about all there is to it. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always sweeping.
