About Pooja Mobile Repairing & Training Centre – Telecom in Jaipur
Indira Bazar is always crowded, and our shop at B-38 is right in the middle of all that noise. I start the day by cleaning the glass counters and setting out the tools we need for the mobile phones people bring in. It is a small space but we make it work. Most of the time, I have students sitting around me because this is also a training centre. They watch how I handle the tiny screws and the circuit boards. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when too many people come in at once asking when their phone will be ready. The smell of solder is something you just get used to after a week. We have shelves full of old phone bodies and spare parts that we keep organized, or at least we try to. It’s not a quiet place because of the market outside. You can hear the rickshaws and people shouting all day long. I usually have a cup of tea sitting on my workbench that goes cold before I finish it. People come from different parts of the city because they know we are here. We don't use any fancy systems to track things, just a simple register where I write everything down by hand. It feels good when a student finally fixes a screen on their own. We have a few stools for people to wait on, but usually they just stand and watch us work.
