You can find us at Indira Bazar, number 511. It’s a very tight space because the shops in this part of the city are all packed in together. We have shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling to make room for everything we keep in stock. Sometimes I need a ladder just to reach the items at the top. The street outside is always crowded with people and rickshaws, so it’s never really quiet. We’ve got a small counter where we handle all the transactions. It’s made of old wood and the edges are worn down from people leaning on it. My father started this place, and not much has changed since then. We still use the same old scale for some things. The lighting is a bit dim towards the back of the shop, but we know exactly where everything is. It gets dusty because of the open front, so we spend a lot of time with a duster in our hands. Most of our customers are regulars who live in the apartments nearby or shop at the bazar every week. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Just the name above the door and the goods on the shelves. It’s a busy life being in the market, but we’ve gotten used to the noise and the constant flow of people passing by.
