Plastic Moulders

If you go into Gangouri Bazar and head towards Tiwari Ji Ka Karkhana near Langer Ke Balaji, you will find our spot, Plastic Moulders. We are tucked away in Purani Basti, which is a very old part of the city with narrow lanes and lots of history. The workshop stays quite warm because of the machines we use for the molding, and there is always that specific smell of warm plastic in the air. It is a noisy environment with the hum of the equipment and the sound of parts dropping into bins. We have been working out of this space for a long time, and it has grown a bit cramped as we added more tools and benches. Most of the people working here live nearby, so it feels like a neighborhood setup. We spend our hours checking the molds and making sure the shapes come out right, often having to fix things on the fly when a machine acts up. There is no receptionist or fancy waiting area, just the workspace and a small bench by the door. We drink a lot of chai to keep going through the long shifts. It is honest work and we don't mind the grease or the heat much. The floor is always covered in tiny bits of plastic scrap that we sweep up every evening.
