We are out in the village of Banskho, which is part of Bassi. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but it’s where we’ve always been. Being in a village means things move a bit slower than in the town. We have a workspace here where we do all our arts work. It’s not a modern studio or anything like that. It’s more of a workshop with dusty floors and tools scattered around. We spend a lot of time working with our hands. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, like when it’s too hot or the rains come down heavy on the roof. We just work through it. People from the village know us, and sometimes folks from Bassi come by to see what we are making. We don't have a website or a big marketing plan. Most of our work comes from word of mouth. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We start when the sun comes up and usually finish when it gets too dark to see clearly. There’s a lot of physical labor involved in what we do. It’s not always easy, and sometimes things don’t turn out perfect on the first try. But we just keep at it. The environment here is very different from a city office. It's just us and the materials we use every day. We enjoy the peace and the chance to just focus on the task in front of us.
