Piyush Gems & Crafts

Piyush Gems & Crafts is located in the Bharathi App building, inside the Mega Creation section at B37. We are right off MI Road in the New Colony area, which is a pretty central spot. Our workspace is more like a workshop than a store. You will see plenty of small tools, magnifying glasses, and bits of stone scattered across the benches. We spend a lot of time hunched over our work, trying to get the details right on whatever craft we are putting together. The room is usually quiet except for the sound of grinding or polishing. Since we are in an apartment-style building, it is a bit more relaxed than a street-level shop. We have some shelves where we keep the finished pieces, but mostly things are kept in drawers so they do not get dusty. The light from the window is quite good in the mornings, which helps when you are looking at small gems. MI Road is always buzzing outside, so we feel connected to the city even when we are tucked away upstairs. We often have some tea sitting on a corner table that has gone cold because we got distracted by a project. It is a modest setup with just enough space for us to do our work without getting in each other's way. People who come to see us usually know exactly what they are looking for, so we do not have to do much talking to make them understand.
