Our shop, Pinkcity Nagra Shoes & Handicrafts, is right at 17 Hawa Mahal Road. We are really close to the Hawa Mahal itself, just opposite the Jalebi Chowk Gate. It’s a very busy part of the city with tourists and locals always walking by. Because of where we are, it gets pretty loud and crowded, especially in the evenings. We’ve got all sorts of traditional shoes and local crafts crammed into the space. It’s not a huge shop, so things are stacked pretty high on the shelves. We don't have fancy displays or bright lights like the big malls. It’s just a traditional store where you can find honest handmade work. Sometimes the floor is a bit dusty from all the foot traffic coming in from the street. We’ve been here for years, watching the crowds go by the palace gates. We know the other shopkeepers around here, and we all just do our daily business. We aren't trying to be a big brand or anything. We just sell what we make and what we source from local craftsmen. If you’re visiting the Hawa Mahal, you’ll likely walk right past us. It’s a simple place with a lot of history in the walls. We take things one day at a time and try to help anyone who steps inside looking for something authentic. The work can be tiring but seeing a happy customer makes it all feel okay. We don't do any big marketing; the location just brings people to our door naturally.
