Palak Beauty Parlour

Palak Beauty Parlour is right there on Tonk Road, just opposite the Shiv Mandir. If you know the Toll Tax area in Goverdhan Nagar, you've probably passed us many times. We've been here in Jaipur for a while now. Most days it’s just us working through the usual routine of threading, hair cuts, and facials. The temple across the street gets quite busy in the mornings, so we hear the bells while we’re setting up the shop. It’s a simple place with a few chairs and some mirrors that we try to keep clean. Sometimes the Jaipur heat gets a bit much, but we have the fans going. People from around Goverdhan Nagar just drop by when they need something done. We don't have fancy stuff, just the basic tools and creams everyone uses. Usually, we're chatting about the weather or what’s happening in the neighborhood while we work on someone's hair. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we’re always sweeping. It’s not a big fancy place, just a regular local spot where people feel comfortable sitting for an hour. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a quick break together. We see a lot of the same faces every month, and we know their families too. It's just how a small business works here. We open up early and stay until the evening rush on Tonk Road starts to die down a bit and the streetlights come on.
