Oscar Exports

Oscar Exports is tucked away at 15, Red Krishna House in the Govind Bari area of Brahmpuri. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don’t know the turns, but the locals can usually point you in the right direction. The building is a bright spot in the neighborhood. We work out of a few rooms on the ground floor. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples coming in from the workshops. We deal with various exported goods, mostly things made by people we've known for years. There is always someone coming in or out with a bag of samples or a delivery note to be signed. We keep a small kitchen area in the back for making coffee and lunch. The noise from the street is constant, but we like the energy of Brahmpuri. We don't have a big corporate structure. It's just a few of us making decisions as they come up throughout the day. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized, but we always find what we need eventually. We’ve got shelves reaching up to the ceiling filled with all sorts of things waiting to be boxed up. The ledger is usually sitting open on the main table near the window. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes in. We've built up a decent relationship with the people around here. It's just a practical way to run a business.
