Our office is located right in the heart of Johari Bazar, specifically on Kgb Ka Rasta at number 3933. This is a very old and historic part of the city. The lanes are extremely narrow and always full of people and rickshaws. Running a logistics company like Opus Dei Logistic India Pvt Ltd from this spot is quite interesting. We have to be very careful with the timing of our deliveries because the streets are so tight and crowded. Large trucks simply cannot come into this area, so we have to use much smaller vans and hand-pulled carts to move things. It involves a lot of manual planning and talking to drivers. Inside our office, it is mostly just simple desks and piles of shipping logs and registers. We do not have any fancy glass partitions or expensive furniture. It is just one big open room where everyone can talk to each other easily. It gets quite noisy when everyone is on the phone at the same time trying to coordinate with the drivers. We spend most of our day tracking packages and making sure that nothing gets lost in transit. The old building has very high ceilings and it stays relatively cool, which is a real blessing during the hot summer months. We have been here for a long time and the nearby shopkeepers are all friends of ours. We share news about the traffic or the weather. It’s a very practical business.
