Om Shree Handicrafts

We operate Om Shree Handicrafts from G1-270 in the Epip Sitapura Industrial Area. Being in an industrial zone means there is always the sound of trucks and machinery nearby. Our unit is basically a large shed with a high ceiling. It gets very hot in the summer, so we have these big industrial fans that move the air around, though they are quite loud. We have different sections for different types of work. One area is for the raw materials and another is where the actual crafting happens. It is a dusty place because of all the wood and stone we work with. I usually wear an apron to keep my clothes somewhat clean, but by the time I go home, I am covered in grit anyway. We do not have a showroom here. If someone wants to see what we make, they usually have to step over a few crates to get to the finished pieces. The office part is just a small wooden cabin built into one corner of the factory floor. It is where I keep the phone and the order books. We spend a lot of time looking over the things before they get packed up. Sitapura is a long way from the main city, so we usually bring our own lunch and eat together at a big table in the middle of the floor. It is honest work, and the days are long, but we stay busy.
