Om Prakash Kharra

Om Prakash Kharra here. I work out of B-27 in J P Colony, which is right next to the Imliwala Phatak. If you have ever been stuck waiting at the railway crossing there, you have probably passed right by me. The phatak can be a bit of a mess with the trains, but it’s where I have my business set up. I have a small space in the colony. It is not a big, fancy office with a lobby, just a room where I keep my files and handle the daily tasks. I usually get in around ten in the morning and stay until everything is finished. Most of my neighbors in J P Colony are also running small businesses or are just families living their lives. It gets a bit dusty with the road and the trains so close, but we have gotten used to it over the years. I do not have a website or anything like that. People just know where B-27 is. I have been in this spot for several years now. I like this location because it is quite central to this part of Jaipur. I spend a lot of time on the phone or just organizing papers on my desk. It is mostly just me here. Sometimes a friend will stop by for a cup of chai and a chat. It is a very local way of working. I don’t think about being corporate at all. I just focus on the job at hand and keep things moving along.
