Om Hair Art

Om Hair Art is tucked into Prajapati Market in the Durgapura area of Jaipur. Since we are right on the Main Tonk Road, there is never a quiet moment. You can hear the traffic and the people shopping in the market all day long. The shop isn't very large, but we have managed to fit everything we need into the space. Most of our days are spent standing by the chairs, watching the world go by through the front glass while we work. We get a lot of office goers and students because Durgapura is such a busy hub. The mirrors are a bit old, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't stop anyone from coming in. We keep a stack of old newspapers and some magazines for people to look at while they wait their turn. It is a very normal, local place where you can just sit and relax for a bit. We don't do any of that fancy styling you see on television. We just provide a decent haircut and a clean shave for a fair price. The water is usually kept in a plastic jug, and we use a simple spray bottle for dampening hair. It is just the way things are done here. Working in Prajapati Market means we see a lot of familiar faces every single day.
