Nisha Handicrafts

If you walk down Amer Road towards Ramgarh Mod, you will find us at Plot number 10 in Jagdish Colony. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of traffic and people moving around all day. We have our little workshop here where we make different handicraft items. Usually, there is a lot of noise from the tools and the smell of whatever materials we are working with that day. It’s not a big factory, just a place where a few of us sit and put things together by hand. We’ve been at this location for a long time and the neighbors are all like family. We mostly work on orders that come in through word of mouth. The space is a bit cramped because we have boxes and raw materials stacked up to the ceiling in some corners. Sometimes it gets a bit messy, but that is just part of making things. We have tea twice a day and talk about what needs to be finished before the week ends. The light in the front room is good for the detail work, so we spend most of the afternoon there. It’s a simple life and we enjoy the process of creating something from nothing. We don't really have a big sign or anything flashy, just the name Nisha Handicrafts on the door and our work inside.
