New Faishon Gents Parlour

You can find New Faishon Gents Parlour at Shop No.15 on Power House Road. This is right by Station Road and we are directly opposite the railway station in Jaipur. Because we are so close to the station, we see a lot of people who are just passing through the city. They might have a few hours between trains and want to get a quick shave or a haircut. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped when there are three or four people waiting. We have the standard barber stools and the mirrors are a bit older. It’s a noisy area with all the trains and the station announcements, but we’re used to it. The floor is concrete and we have a few ceiling fans to keep the air moving. We don't have any fancy decorations or soft music. It’s a working man’s parlour. We keep the razors sharp and the water warm. A lot of the local rickshaw drivers and shopkeepers come in here too. We’ve been at this spot for years and the view of the station hasn't changed much. It’s a busy, dusty part of town, but it’s where we belong. We just do the work as it comes in. There’s no big secret to how we run things, we just show up every morning and open the shutters for whoever needs a trim.
