New Bombay Hair Dresser

New Bombay Hair Dresser is located at Ajazad Choke in Kotputli. We are right near NH 8, which means there is constant traffic and noise from all the trucks and buses passing by. It is a very dusty area because of the highway, so we are always dusting off the mirrors and the chairs. The shop itself is simple, with just the basic stuff we need for cutting hair. We have a couple of old chairs and a big mirror that covers most of one wall. The floor is made of stone and it gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we keep the broom handy. Most of our customers are locals from around Kotputli or people who live in the nearby villages. On some days, especially during the wedding season, the shop gets very full and people sit on the bench outside waiting for their turn. We have a small radio that we keep on for some background noise to drown out the highway sounds. The water for washing hair is kept in a tank because the supply can be a bit unreliable at times. We don't have any air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a bit when it's on high speed. It is a hard-working environment and we stay open for long hours every day. We know our regulars well and usually talk about the weather or the local news while we work.
