Shakti Garments

Shakti Garments is at A-177 in the Murlipura Scheme. Our shop is just a regular place filled with racks and piles of different clothes. We have been here for a long time now. The space isn't very big, so things can get a bit crowded when we get a new shipment in. We mostly have everyday clothes for the people who live nearby. It is a family-run business and we don't have any big corporate ideas. Most mornings we are just unpacking boxes and trying to keep everything somewhat organized on the shelves. Sometimes a customer comes in looking for something specific and we have to go look through the stacks in the back room to find it. It gets a little messy sometimes, but that is just how it is when you have a lot of items in a small shop. We don't do much advertising; people mostly just walk in because they live in Murlipura. The lighting inside is a bit dim, but we try to keep the place clean. We have a small mirror in the corner that has a little crack at the bottom, but it still works. We spend our time talking to neighbors and helping them find a shirt or some pants that fit okay. It is a simple way to make a living and we like being part of the local market scene. There is usually someone stopping by just to say hello, which makes the time go by. It’s a good neighborhood to be in.
