Mukesh Hair Art

Our shop, Mukesh Hair Art, is on Jagat Pura Road in the Jagat Pura area of Jaipur. We are located very close to the Railway Phatak, so you can often hear the trains going by while you are sitting in the chair. It’s a part of the daily rhythm for us. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but we take pride in the work we do. We have been cutting hair for the men in this neighborhood for a long time. It is a simple setup with a few chairs and some old mirrors that have seen a lot of years. We don't follow all those new trends you see on TV; we just give honest haircuts that suit the person. Many of our customers are workers from nearby or people who live just down the street. We know when the trains are going to pass by and the gate closes. It’s a good place to catch up on the local gossip or just sit quietly while getting a shave. We keep the tools clean and the floor clear of hair as much as we can. It’s just me and a helper most days. We don't have any big plans to expand or get fancy. We just like being the local barber on Jagat Pura Road. If the phatak is closed, people sometimes drop in just to wait out the train. We have a few old magazines to look at while you wait. There isn't much more to say about the shop than that.
