Monu Gents Parlour

This is Shop No -7 over in Vaishali Nagar. We are quite close to the 200Ft Road, so it’s easy to find if you’re coming from that direction. It’s a gents parlour, so we keep things pretty basic and functional. No need for anything over the top. We have the standard barber chairs and all the usual tools of the trade. The shop isn't very large, but it’s enough for what we do. Most of our customers are guys from around the neighborhood who just want a quick cut or a shave without any fuss. We know most of them by their first names. It’s a friendly enough place where you can just sit and wait your turn. We usually have a newspaper lying around for people to read while they wait. The traffic from the 200Ft Road can be heard outside, but we’re used to it by now. It’s just part of being in this part of Jaipur. The shop stays open late to catch the people coming home from work. We make sure the razors are sharp and the towels are clean. That’s about all there is to it. We don't try to be something we're not. Monu Gents Parlour is just a local spot for local people. We’ve been at this shop for a while, and we plan to stay here for a long time yet. It’s a simple life and simple work that we do every day without complaining much.
