You can find Meera Arts & Handicrafts at 1736, Jiledaro Ki, Gali Khazanewalon Ka Rasta, Indira Bazar. It's a bit of a maze back here in the narrow lanes. My family has lived in this part of the city for many generations. The shop is quite small, and the walls are covered with stuff we’ve gathered over time. It’s often a bit cramped inside because we have so many things stacked up high. Indira Bazar is always loud and full of energy, but our little corner stays relatively calm. We spend a lot of time just repairing old things or dusting off the high shelves. It’s definitely not a polished place. The paint is peeling in a few spots and the front door creaks a bit when you open it. We don’t really mind though. It feels like home to us. Most days it’s just me and my uncle sitting on the floor mats near the front. We talk to the other vendors next door and watch the people go by. If you’re looking for us, look for the old wooden door near the far corner. We don’t really do fancy packaging or anything like that. We just wrap things in old newspapers and hope for the best. It’s been this way for a long time and we like the way we do things here.
