Mayur Hair Drasser

Mayur Hair Drasser is situated near the Ghanta Ghar in the Main Market area of Kotputli. It's a very busy part of town so there is always noise and movement outside the door. We have been cutting hair in this Paota region for a long time. People come in while they are out doing their shopping in the market. The shop is small but we have a few chairs set up. We handle everything from basic cuts to shaves. It gets quite crowded on festival days or during the wedding season. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of big fans that keep the air moving. The walls have some old pictures on them. It’s a simple setup. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby or farmers coming into the market for the day. We don't do anything very modern, just the traditional styles that everyone is used to. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a short break. It is a friendly place where everyone knows each other. You don't need to call ahead, just come to the Ghanta Ghar and look for us. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. It is just a regular shop doing regular work for the people of Kotputli. The floor gets covered in hair quickly but we sweep it up when we can. It’s honest work.
