Martand Heaters

Martand Heaters is situated at G-1,802 in the Sitapura Industrial Area. It’s a long drive out here for most people, but this is where all the manufacturing happens. Our unit is basically one large hall with a small partitioned area for the office. You can usually hear the sound of metal being worked or the hum of the testing equipment. Since we deal with heaters, the place can get a bit warm, especially in the summer. We have these heavy workbenches where the elements are assembled. There are coils of wire and ceramic parts scattered around in various bins. The office part is just a couple of wooden desks and a filing cabinet that won't lock properly. We spend most of our time out on the floor rather than sitting behind a desk. We don't have a receptionist; if someone walks in, whoever is closest to the door says hello. We mostly supply to other industries, so we aren't really set up for walk-in retail customers, but we help them if they show up. Lunch is usually eaten quickly so we can get back to the orders. The Sitapura dust gets everywhere, so we are always wiping down the machines. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our toes. We don't worry about being fancy; we just make sure the heaters are put together right before they go out.
