We have been based here at 414 Tonk Road for a long time now. Most people in Jaipur know the Mahaveer Nagar area pretty well, so finding our building isn't usually a problem unless the traffic is really backed up. Manoj Jain & Co is basically just a few of us working through the usual mountain of paperwork and tax filings that come with this kind of work. It gets extremely busy, especially during those months when every deadline seems to hit at the exact same time. We spend most of our day sitting at these old desks, either on the phone or staring at complicated spreadsheets. The office itself isn't anything fancy to look at, just a functional space with some filing cabinets and a couple of computers. Sometimes the tea stall just down the road is the highlight of our afternoon when we need a break. We see a lot of the same faces coming in, mostly people from around the neighborhood or local shops. It is funny how you get used to the sounds of Tonk Road after a few years, like the constant horns and the people shouting outside. We don't really do any of that fancy marketing stuff. It is just straightforward, practical work, making sure the numbers actually add up and the forms are sent where they are supposed to go. Every morning starts with someone opening up the shutters and checking the mail pile. Some days feel much longer than others, but we just take it one task at a time until the lights go off.
