R Shandilya & Co

R Shandilya & Co is based on Hawa Mahal Road, which is always full of people and tourists taking photos. Our office is tucked away near the Temple Shri Amrit Raghunath Ji. If you stand at the entrance, you can see the Hawa Mahal right across from us. It is a very old part of the city, and the buildings have that heavy, historic feel to them. Inside, it is much quieter than the street outside, though you can still hear the bells from the temple during the morning prayers. We have been here at this address for a long time. The floors are stone and stay cool even when the Rajasthan heat gets bad outside. There are always people walking by, and the traffic on the road is constant. We spend most of our hours looking over documents and answering the phone. The furniture is solid wood and has seen better days, but it does the job. Finding our door can be a little tricky because of how the shops are laid out, but most locals know the temple well enough to point the way. It is a busy place to work, but having such a view nearby is something we don't think about much until someone points it out. We usually close up early on festival days because the roads get blocked. It’s a very traditional neighborhood to be in, and we like the routine of it all.
