Our office is over at 307 Sansar Chandra Road in Windsor Plaza. It’s usually pretty busy around here, especially in the afternoons when everyone is out and about. I’ve spent many years in this space looking out at the traffic down below. Most days start with a hot cup of tea and checking through the mail that came in late. We have been in this building for quite a while now and most people in the area know where it is. The elevator works most of the time, but sometimes it’s actually faster to just take the stairs if you are in a real hurry. The office itself isn’t anything too fancy, but it gets the job done for us. We have a few big desks and plenty of metal cabinets filled with old folders and documents. It can get a bit dusty if we leave the windows open, but we still like the air when it is not too hot outside. Sometimes neighbors from the other units pop in just to say hello or ask for a spare stapler. That is just the way things go at Windsor Plaza. We try to keep the desk surfaces clear, but on Mondays it always looks a bit messy with all the new papers. Most visitors find us without much trouble because the main sign downstairs is still there, even if the paint is peeling a bit now. It is a solid spot to work and we have grown used to the constant noise from the street.
