We are located in Ban Bihari Bhawan, which is right on Nahargarh Road in the middle of Chandpole Bazar. This area is always full of life and noise, which is just part of being in the heart of the old city. The building itself has a lot of history and you can feel it in the thick walls and the narrow hallways. It gets quite busy outside with all the rickshaws and people shopping, so the office is a bit of a refuge from all that chaos. We have our desks set up in a way that makes the most of the space we have. There are rows of ledgers and notebooks stacked up because we still like to keep some things on paper. The fans hum all day long to keep the air moving. It can be a challenge to get through the crowd to the front door sometimes, but we are used to it by now. We usually have a lot of people dropping by just to drop off a paper or ask a quick question. We don't have a receptionist in a suit, just a few of us working away at our tasks. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we have enough lamps to see what we are doing. Living and working in Chandpole Bazar means you are never bored. There is always something happening right outside the window. We’ve been in Ban Bihari Bhawan for years and couldn't really imagine being anywhere else in the city.
