Manoj Hair Dresser

Manoj Hair Dresser is my place, and you can find it in the Old Anaaj Mandi in Chaksu, Jaipur. We are very close to the big godowns, or the Anaaj Godam, which is where all the grain is stored. Because of where we are, the area is always busy with tractors and trucks coming in and out. It is a bit of a dusty environment, but that is just how it is near a mandi. The shop itself is very plain. I have my main chair and a smaller one for when it gets busy. I do not have any modern machines or electric trimmers that make a lot of noise. I prefer using my scissors and a straight razor for shaves. It is the way I learned, and it is what the people here expect. Many of my customers work at the mandi and they come in for a quick shave before they start their shift or after they finish. We do not talk about anything too fancy, just the price of crops or the weather. I have been here for many years and the godowns have always been my neighbors. It is a hardworking part of town, and my shop fits right in. I open up early because the mandi starts early. It is a simple life, but it keeps me going.
