Manoj Hair Drasser

Manoj Hair Drasser is out here in Kotputli. It’s a bit of a distance from the main Jaipur city, but this is home for us. The shop is located in the middle of the town area where everyone knows each other. We open the shutters every morning and start by cleaning the mirrors. There isn't much to say about the place other than it’s where we work. We have the usual stuff like scissors, combs, and a couple of spray bottles. The neighbors drop in sometimes just to say hello or ask about the weather. Kotputli can get quite dusty, so we keep a cloth handy to wipe down the chairs. We don't have a big staff, just us doing the work day in and day out. Sometimes there is a line of people waiting, especially on Sundays. We don't have any air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a little bit. It’s a regular shop for regular people. We don't do anything complicated. If someone wants a shave, they sit down and we get to it. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so the broom is always moving. Most people here are farmers or local shopkeepers. We like the rhythm of the day. It’s a simple life in 303108. The shop doesn't look like much from the outside, but it’s been standing there for a good while now. We keep the water jug full.
