Manish Gents Parlour

Manish Gents Parlour is located out in Sanganer. If you know where Panna Dham Circle is in Pratap Nagar, we are right near there. It’s a part of Jaipur that’s always growing, so there are always new people moving in. Our shop is quite basic, to be honest. We just have the essentials for cutting hair and doing shaves. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so opening a shop here made sense. It’s not a fancy salon with air conditioning and soft music. It’s just a place for men to come and get groomed. We have a few chairs and some old magazines for when there is a wait. The floor gets covered in hair pretty quickly, but I try to sweep it up every few minutes. Most of the guys who come in are regulars who live in the apartments nearby. They like to talk about what’s happening in Sanganer or complain about the traffic. It’s a friendly atmosphere, I think. We don’t do anything too stylish, just regular cuts that look neat. The shop gets a lot of light in the afternoon, which makes it easy to see what I’m doing. It’s a quiet life, just me and the scissors. I like being my own boss and serving the people around the circle. It’s been a good few years and we’re still here doing our thing every day, welcoming whoever walks through the door next.
