Mahesh Communication is out on Agra Road in the Luniawas area. It is a bit far from the main city center, so the pace is a little slower here, which suits me just fine. I set up the shop to help people with their mobile needs, whether it is a quick recharge or fixing a broken speaker. The shop is just a single shutter room with some glass shelves I put in myself. During the monsoon, the road outside gets a bit muddy, so I am always sweeping the floor to keep it clean. I have a small stool where I sit and wait for customers. Most of the people who come in are locals from Luniawas who I see every day. We talk about the weather or the local news while I work on their phones. I keep a few basic handsets in the display case for those who need a cheap backup phone. The power goes out sometimes, so I keep a rechargeable lamp handy so I can keep working in the dark. Agra Road is a long stretch, and there are a lot of trucks passing by, which can be quite loud. I do not have a big team or anything, it is just me managing the place from morning till night. It is a simple life and the work is steady enough to keep things going. I usually close up when the sun goes down and head home.
