You can find Maha Laxmi Handicraft Jaipur at Plot No. 5-6 in the Ramratan Colony. We are tucked away near the Jaipur GPO, which is a pretty central area but our specific street is a bit more tucked back and quiet. Our workshop is always full of activity. We have people working on different handicrafts, and there are bits of wood, fabric, and paint all over the place. It is not the most organized looking place, but we have our own system for getting things done. We don't have a corporate office with a secretary or anything like that. When you come in, you will likely see us right in the middle of a project. The walls are lined with shelves that are overflowing with supplies and half-finished items. It gets a bit warm in the middle of the day, so we keep all the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through the colony. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids come by to see what we are making. We have been in this spot for a long time and we are just used to the daily rhythm of the neighborhood. We don't do much in the way of selling ourselves; we just let the work speak for itself when people drop by. It is a simple life of making things with our hands and trying to keep the business going one day at a time. We finish up when the work is done.
