Our place is at Ambedkar Colony number 445 in the Barkat Nagar area. It is a residential kind of neighborhood but there are many small businesses like ours tucked away in the lanes here. We handle different kinds of supplies and trading work for other businesses. The office is not very big but it serves the purpose for what we do every day. There is usually a lot of paperwork on the desk and the phone rings quite a bit with people asking about their orders or deliveries. We don't have a fancy showroom because most of our work is about getting things from one place to another. Barkat Nagar is a good spot to be because it is central and we can get to the main roads easily without getting stuck too long. I spend most of my mornings checking the lists and talking to the delivery guys who come by on their scooters. It gets a bit slow in the afternoons when it is quiet outside but we stay busy with the records and bookkeeping. Sometimes neighbors pop in just to say hello or ask for help with something on the street. We have been here for a few years and have gotten used to the way things work in this particular lane. It is a simple setup with a couple of chairs and a computer that is a bit old. We just try to get the jobs done.
